Jakub Zeman Training/Weekend Workshop - August 2026

Weekend Workshop - August 2026

We are shaped by the environments we move through and how we engage with them.

This workshop is a two-day immersive exploration of movement, adaptability, communication, and learning strategies.
Expect to engage in playful interaction and evolving situations that challenge how you move, perceive, and respond.

We work through the core pillars of the Fighting Monkey Practice — Zero Forms, Movement Situations, and Metacognitive Reflections.
Each offers a different way to test, experience, and reshape how we act and learn.

The work develops physical dexterity, adaptive resilience, and tools to build your own sustainable practice.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPLORE

Open Games & Play
Play to build a foundation for learning, adaptability, and long-term movement intelligence.

Rhythm & Coordination
Orchestrate the body to move smoothly under shifting constraints.

Creativity & Agency
Build your own practice rather than relying on fixed systems or prescribed techniques.

Action & Perception
Explore how action and perception shape each other in dynamic environments.

Movement & Communication
Refine how you express, collaborate, and respond in demanding situations.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Work through structured tasks, partner situations, and guided exploration that evolve over time.
You will be exposed to coordination challenges, unpredictable conditions, and creative problem-solving under pressure.

Alongside the physical work, we reflect on our experience and discuss underlying principles of a life-supporting practice.

The workshops are both welcoming and demanding. Participants regulate their intensity within their current capacity.

The aim of the practice is to learn through attentive participation rather than meeting uniform standards.

WHO IT’S FOR

Open to practitioners from diverse backgrounds — dancers, martial artists, therapists, athletes, educators, creatives, and anyone exploring the deeper layers of human adaptability and embodied learning.

No prerequisites; we work with who we are and what is available at each moment.
